Responsibilities
A Research Technician II position
is available immediately in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred
Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC), Seattle, WA. The successful
applicant will work with a research team to explore the fast-developing and highly
interdisciplinary field of immunobioengineering.
Using next-generation immunomodulatory
synthetic materials, the Research Technician will help develop new approaches
to therapeutically manipulate the immune system against cancer.
Qualifications
BS or MS in the areas of
Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related field, with a minimum of 2
years (BS) postgraduate working experience in a research lab.
Excellent
knowledge of multi-color and intracellular flow cytometry,
and data analysis using FlowJo
software is required of a successful applicant.
Strong proficiency in the
development and execution of cell based assays for immune cell function (T-cell
proliferation, cytokine release, and cytotoxicty
assays) with murine and human primary T cells.
